About Me

I am a Holistic Chiropractor, a certified Wudang Qi Gong instructor, a writer, a hopeful romantic, and an optimistic realist.I am sharing stories from my life. These are stories of lessons learned, transformational shifts, revelations of the heart and some are just plain funny.

I own a practice called Union Square Wellness in New York City.   I am a native New Yorker.  I graduated from Barnard College/Columbia University in 1995 and from Life University for Chiropractic in 2000.

I have moved around a lot since then in search of a place that makes my heart sing.  When my mother became ill in 2007, I had been making plans to move to Barcelona.  Instead  I returned to New York to care for her.  I had travelled all over the world to find “myself”…and here I was all along.  At long last I have found the place that makes my heart sing.  My old hometown of NYC!

I continue to travel quite a bit in search of passion, inner peace, adventure and joy.  I have had so many fun and exciting adventures on my spiritual journey.  I’ve met many people from all walks of life.  There have been professionals, retirees, hippies, athletes, newly graduated, recently laid off, recently divorced, recently diagnosed, recently married, recently healed, mothers, fathers, healers, artists, gypsies, musicians, those with accents from various lands, the wealthy and the surprisingly innovative “poor” who have shown up along the way, on their own journey.  The diversity and the amazing stories of these individuals on a journey to find greater meaning and joy in their lives has been a great inspiration.  These stories and fortuitous meetings have added to the richness of my odyssey.

They inspired me to share my stories from my spiritual quest and the folly of the search for enlightment here on Kick The Guru.  I hope you enjoy!
